Chalice Lighting: I Breathe – Craig Rowland
I breathe in the warmth of this light, its glow filling the spaces where fear and doubt reside.
I breathe out the tension I carry. I release what no longer serves me.
I breathe in the strength of our community, a sanctuary of diverse voices and shared
purpose.
I breathe out the urge to go it alone. I embrace the power of togetherness.
I breathe in the courage to speak truth, even when it trembles on my lips.
I breathe out the silence that holds me back. I make space for honesty and justice.
I breathe in the hope of transformation, knowing we are here to build and to heal.
I breathe out despair, trusting that change is born in small acts of love.
As we light this chalice, may each breath remind us of the sacred rhythm of life, the pulse of creation, and the power we hold to shape the world around us.

Call to Worship: United by Story and Bound by Love – Andrea Hawkins-Kamper
Gather we now into this space, this time when the Wheel turns and the Veil shatters.
Gather we now to remember, to grieve, to prophesy, to complete our harvests before the Long Dark comes.
Gather we now to tell the Old Stories and sing the Old Songs, to be as we have always been —the Voice of our people eternal.
Gather we now to celebrate that which was, that which is, and that which will be.
Gather we now, as we have always done, united by Story and bound by Love.
Prayer of Invocation
First Sacred Reading: Revolutionary Love – by Dayna Edwards
I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for my faith.
My faith that our collective love united
can drown out the evils
of empire and hate and greed;
Together we create
a love energy
more powerful than
any force of oppression.
Because
When two or more people are gathered
side by side, arm in arm, shoulder to shoulder
the force of love ignites liberation.
Revolutionary love calls us
to know ourselves deeply
see God in the stranger
find beauty in the imperfect.
Revolutionary love calls us to find
the divine in dirt
the holy in the heartache
and the sacred in the scars.
Revolutionary love calls us out and then back in;
Revolutionary love calls us to be better and do better;
Revolutionary love calls us to heal and hold each other;
because
None of us would be here if it weren’t for our faith
in each other.

We give you but your own
Whatever gift may be,
All that we have is yours alone
We give it gratefully
Second Sacred Reading: Luke 10:25-37
25 An expert in the law stood up to test Jesus.[a] “Teacher,” he said, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” 26 He said to him, “What is written in the law? What do you read there?” 27 He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind and your neighbor as yourself.” 28 And he said to him, “You have given the right answer; do this, and you will live.”
29 But wanting to vindicate himself, he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” 30 Jesus replied, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell into the hands of robbers, who stripped him, beat him, and took off, leaving him half dead. 31 Now by chance a priest was going down that road, and when he saw him he passed by on the other side. 32 So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan while traveling came upon him, and when he saw him he was moved with compassion. 34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, treating them with oil and wine. Then he put him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said, ‘Take care of him, and when I come back I will repay you whatever more you spend.’ 36 Which of these three, do you think, was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of the robbers?” 37 He said, “The one who showed him mercy.” Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”
