Minister: Rev. Dr. Valerie Holly -"Sunday June 1, 2025 ushers in Gay Pride Month. Happy Pride!! To assist me in setting a celebratory atmosphere and message, I have chosen the gospel of John17:20-26, the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV).
In this scripture, John describes a relationship between Jesus and God that was deemed spiritually significant in the 1st century and I believe continues to be spiritually important to humankind in the 21st century. In this time of increased negativity, this biblical text can convey aspects of positivity as a response. Join us at ASBC on June 1, 2025, as we open up LGBTQIA month in the gospel of John. (V.H).”
