The Kite Runner

Join us for a screening of The Kite Runner, a film based on the acclaimed novel by Khaled Hosseini. Growing up in Kabul, Amir and Hassan are inseparable friends. As an adult living in California, Amir remains haunted by a childhood incident in which he betrayed Hassan’s trust. When he learns that the Taliban has murdered Hassan and wife, Amir returns this homeland to learn the fate of the couple‘s son.

Climate March, DC, April 29th!



March for Climate, Jobs & Justice

Come one, come all and be part of the Peoples Climate Movement and let our legislators and the executive know we want Climate Justice for a better planet, and a safer more sustainable economy! Different Groups will be represented: Universities, Food Justice, Faith Communities, Labor, Teachers, LGBTQUIA, and more…

Washington D.C.

Bus will be leaving Brooklyn College at 6:00 a.m. for Washington D.C. on Saturday, April 29th. Tickets are $25 per seat for non-students. Payment in advance to reserve your seat. Please contact Raquel Irizarry to arrange payment. (If this bus location is inconvenient you might want to go to for other buses (pricing will vary).
